Soft, chewy, bite-sized salmon jerky at 18.7 calories a treat... which is the number that makes this genuinely useful, because you can count it.
This is jerky, not a freeze-dried raw treat
Worth being clear about, because almost everything else Stella makes is freeze-dried.
These are 25% moisture, soft and pliable, held that way with coconut glycerin. Stella's freeze-dried treats run 5 to 8% moisture and snap. Different product, different texture, different purpose. If your dog is older, has lost teeth, or simply won't work for something hard, a soft treat is the point of this one.
Seven ingredients, and we'll name all of them
Salmon, coconut glycerin, salt, citric acid (a preservative), distilled vinegar, mixed tocopherols (preservative), rosemary extract.
Stella's bag says no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives added, and that's accurate... citric acid, mixed tocopherols and rosemary extract are all natural preservatives, not artificial ones. We're listing them anyway, because "no preservatives added" and "no artificial preservatives added" are different statements and you deserve to see which one applies.
Also on the label: no grains, legumes, wheat, corn or soy.
One claim we can't support, and we're not going to repeat it
Stella's own bullet for this product reads: made with 95% salmon with nutrient-rich organ meats.
There is no organ meat anywhere in their published ingredient list. The only protein named is salmon. We read the list twice and it isn't there.
That might be leftover copy from another product, or an organ component that didn't make it onto the web list. We don't know. What we can tell you is that the printed list says salmon and nothing else animal-derived, so if you're buying this specifically for organ content, don't... and if you want it checked against the actual bag panel, ask us and we'll read it in the shop.
Where it sits as a treat
47% protein and 18% fat. Not comparable to Stella's single-ingredient treats, which run 60 to 74% protein, because those are pure meat and this has glycerin and moisture in it. That's the trade for the soft texture.
18% fat makes it a moderately rich treat. The published count of 18.7 kcal per treat is the practical advantage over almost every other treat on the shelf... most brands make you guess. Keep treats to around 10% of daily calories and this one is easy to budget: five treats is roughly 94 calories.
Single-source protein, and this one holds up
Salmon is the only animal protein in the list. For a dog avoiding chicken, beef, lamb or any land animal, that's a real option, and fish is uncommon enough in treats to be worth knowing about.

How many to give
Stella publishes no treat-count-by-dog-size guidance for this product and no AAFCO statement. The general rule is to keep treats to around 10% of daily calories... with a published per-treat figure you can actually do that arithmetic here. Your vet can tell you your dog's daily number.
Storage and serving
Because these are soft rather than fully dried, reseal the bag after opening. Give with fresh water nearby and supervise, as with any treat.
On the label statement
Stella publishes no AAFCO statement for this product, and no "for intermittent or supplemental feeding only" line, which is what you'd normally expect on a treat. Its absence doesn't make it a complete food. Ask us if you want it confirmed off the bag.
