Ultium Competition is a high-fat, low-starch performance feed for hard-working and competing horses. Its Sustained Energy System blends fats, fermentable fibers and limited soluble carbs to fuel long efforts without a sugar spike. Hay shown is the minimum; feeding more hay allows less concentrate. Do not feed less than 0.3 lb per 100 lbs BW daily (3 lbs for a 1,000-lb horse). May top-dress with Purina Amplify for extra calories; hard-working horses may benefit from Purina Supersport. A 4 lb meal supplies a full serving of Outlast. Do not feed more than 0.5 lb/100 lbs BW per meal. Feed at least twice daily; do not feed free-choice or to horses that are hot, excited, in pain, feverish or have diarrhea. Always provide at least 1.0-1.2 lbs quality hay/pasture per 100 lbs BW. Change feeds gradually over 7-10 days, no more than 1.0 lb/day increase. Provide fresh water and salt. Caution: follow label directions; feeding added selenium in excess of 0.3 ppm in the total diet is prohibited.
