The Himalayan Dog Chew is the original long lasting hard cheese chew. It is made from yak and cow milk using an ancient cheese making recipe from Nepal, then hardened into a chew that dogs have to work slowly. Your dog softens the end with their mouth and gradually chews away small pieces, turning one chew into hours of focused, satisfying work.
According to Himalayan Pet Supply, the milk is heated, the cream is separated and removed, and the milk is cooked at a high temperature that breaks down the lactose and forms a hard curd.
Why Your Dog Will Love It
- A rich, smoky cheese flavor
- Hours of slow, satisfying chewing
- The last little piece puffs up into a crunchy cheese treat (see Feeding Instructions)
Why You'll Love It
- Lactose, gluten, corn, soy, wheat and grain free
- No preservatives, binding agents, or artificial colors or flavors
- A healthy alternative to rawhide that helps support oral health
- Nothing goes to waste, thanks to the puff trick

Guaranteed Analysis
The manufacturer does not publish a guaranteed analysis on its website for this chew. Check the package label for full nutrition details.
Feeding Instructions
For dogs over 12 weeks old. Always supervise your pet with any treat, and choose a size that matches your dog's weight. When in doubt, size up, since a chew that is too small is easier to swallow whole. When the chew gets small, soak the leftover piece in warm water for 5 minutes, microwave it (1000 watt) for about 45 seconds until it puffs up, and let it cool for 2 minutes before serving.
