Dr. Marty Nature's Blend Essential Wellness in Turkey Bone Broth Wet Dog Food

Dr. Marty Nature's Blend Essential Wellness in Turkey Bone Broth Wet Dog Food

Ready to serve, straight from the tub. No measuring, no warm water, no three-minute wait. Open it and it goes in the bowl.

That convenience is most of the appeal. The freeze-dried bags are excellent and they are also a small ritual every single meal, which is fine at home and genuinely annoying when you are travelling, boarding the dog, or handing feeding duties to someone else for a weekend. This is the same brand without the ritual.

Who it suits

Dogs who need the moisture. Older dogs, dogs who don't drink much, and dogs recovering from something all do better with water coming in through the food. Bone broth carries flavour and smell, which is also why this works for a dog who has gone off their dinner... a fussy dog will often take broth-based food when they'll refuse dry.

Worn or missing teeth is the other obvious case. There is nothing to chew here.

It also works mixed in rather than fed alone, as a way of making a dry meal more interesting without changing the diet underneath it.

What we can and can't tell you about what's in it

Straight answer: we have not published an ingredient list or a guaranteed analysis for this product, because we have not verified one.

Everything else in the Dr. Marty range on our site carries figures we read off the physical package in our store. We did that because Dr. Marty's own website turned out to be wrong on five of their products, in some cases on every figure. For this wet food we have neither a bag read nor a reliable published panel, so rather than copy numbers we can't stand behind, we've left them off.

We also won't assume it matches the freeze-dried Essential Wellness just because it shares the name. It may well. We haven't confirmed it, and a shared name is not a shared recipe.

If you need the ingredient list or the analysis before you buy, ask us. We'll read the actual tub and tell you what it says, and then we'll put it on this page properly.

Sizes

Single 6.3 oz tub, or a 12-pack. The single is the sensible way to find out whether your dog takes to it.

Serving and storage

Serve at room temperature rather than cold from the fridge... dogs smell food better when it isn't chilled, and smell is most of what makes them eat. Refrigerate anything left over and use it within a couple of days. Wash the bowl after each meal as you would with any wet food.

Because we haven't verified how this product is labeled, we can't tell you whether it's intended as a complete meal or as a topper. That is exactly the kind of thing we'd rather check than guess at, so ask and we'll look.
