Stella & Chewy's Surf 'N Turf Meal Mixers
Beef, then whole ground salmon, ahead of the beef organs. This is the only Meal Mixer in Stella's line built on two animal proteins, and that is the whole reason to pick it or avoid it.
Two proteins, which cuts both ways
For a dog that eats anything, a dual-protein topper is simply more variety from one bag. Beef and fish are very different foods and the recipe draws on both.
For a dog on an elimination diet, this is the wrong bag. Avoiding beef? It's out. Avoiding fish? Also out. And note which is which: the salmon sits second, ahead of the organs, so this is not a beef recipe with a little fish in it... but beef still leads. Stella's Dandy Lamb is a single-protein topper if that's what you need.
Stella puts the recipe at 95% beef, fish, organ and bone, using grass-fed beef and wild-caught salmon raised without added hormones or antibiotics.
The most calories per scoop in the line, and not for the reason you'd guess
A quarter cup of this is 62 calories, the highest in the Meal Mixers line. But its calorie density, 5,140 kcal/kg, is not the highest... Duck Duck Goose beats it at 5,370.

Run the arithmetic on both columns and the explanation falls out: a quarter cup of this weighs about 12.1 grams where every other recipe in the line comes in near 11.3. The fish pieces pack denser in the cup. Same scoop, roughly 7% more food in it.
So this is the one recipe where measuring by volume and measuring by weight give you noticeably different answers against the rest of the line. If you've been topping with the chicken at a quarter cup a day, switching to this one takes you from 50 calories to 62... a 24% increase from an identical scoop, and nothing on the bag says so.
At 34% fat this is a rich topper. A dog with a pancreatitis history, or one on a vet-prescribed low-fat diet, needs that vet's view first.
Same recipe as the patties
Stella's Surf 'N Turf Dinner Patties carry the same guaranteed analysis as these Mixers, 45% protein and 34% fat, and the same 5,140 kcal/kg. We checked both pages rather than assume it. Same food, two shapes... the difference is the feeding chart and how you use it.
One labeling difference, stated precisely: the patties carry Stella's "100% complete and balanced" description and the Meal Mixers don't. The Mixers chart still offers a full-meal column, printed below. That's what Stella publishes and we won't read more into it.
The organ list
Beef liver, beef heart, beef bone. Three beef components alongside the muscle meat and the whole salmon.
If organ content is specifically why you feed raw, Stella's Super Beef runs a longer list... liver, kidney, heart and tripe. Neither is the better food; pick on what your dog needs.
The probiotics, with a number
This is one of the few Stella pages that prints the probiotic guarantee in the analysis table rather than leaving it to the ingredient list. The guarantee is not less than 20,000,000 CFU per pound of total microorganisms from Pediococcus acidilactici, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum and Bacillus coagulans.
Stella footnotes that figure and we'll pass the footnote on rather than just the impressive number: total microorganisms are not recognized as an essential nutrient by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles. It is a real, guaranteed, measured number, and it is not a claim about what it will do for your dog.

Pumpkin seed, then certified organic cranberries, spinach, broccoli, beets, carrots, squash and blueberries. Fenugreek seed, kelp, a vitamin and mineral package, added taurine.

Stella publishes two charts, and notes that they are based on a standard 8-ounce cup. Cups below mean a level standard 8-fluid-ounce dry measuring cup.
As a mixer or topper, on top of your dog's regular food:

Stella notes puppies may need up to twice the adult amount, and to consult a veterinarian for pregnant and nursing dogs. Split the daily amount across two meals and adjust to body condition after two or three weeks.
If you top a bowl daily, take those calories off the dinner underneath it... at 62 kcal a quarter cup this is the topper where that matters most.
How to use it
Crumble over the bowl dry, or rehydrate with warm water first, which brings out the smell and often wins over a fussy eater. Stella suggests bone broth as the liquid if you want to go further, and we carry their Bountiful Bone Broth.
