Feed with hay or pasture; increase or decrease by 10% to reach desired body condition. If feeding more hay, reduce Strategy Healthy Edge by 1 lb for every 2 lb additional hay. Do not feed less than 0.3 lb per 100 lb body weight daily; if the horse gains too much at that rate, switch to Enrich Plus. Three daily feedings preferred; feed from troughs at head height or lower; prevent rapid eating; reduce/delay feeding hot, excited or injured horses. Change feeds gradually over 7-10 days, no more than 1 lb per day change per horse. Feed at regular times, at least twice daily; do not feed free-choice. Always feed at least 1.0-1.2 lb quality hay or pasture equivalent per 100 lb body weight. Make feed changes gradually over 7-10 days. Provide fresh clean water and salt at all times. Store dry, protected from rodents and insects; do not feed moldy or insect-infested feed. Have teeth examined annually and maintain parasite control.
