Fromm Crunchy Os Smokin' CheesePlosions Dog Treats
Know Before You Buy
- A treat, not a meal. Fromm states this product is intended to be fed in moderation as a treat and is not a complete diet.
- Animal proteins in this recipe: Pork, pork liver, cheese, dried egg product.
- Contains: Pork ... Dairy (cheese) ... Egg ... Chickpeas, peas and pea starch ... Potatoes.
- Does not contain: Chicken, beef, fish, grains, corn, wheat or soy (per the manufacturer's ingredient list).
- A cheese flavor built on pork. Pork and pork liver are the third and fourth ingredients, well ahead of the cheese, so this is not a meat-free or pork-free treat.
- Life stage: Fromm does not publish an AAFCO life stage statement for this treat. It is labeled as a treat, not a complete diet.
Smokin' CheesePlosions is the Crunchy O for cheese-loving dogs, with a hickory smoke flavor on top. It comes from Fromm Family Foods, a family-owned company in Mequon, Wisconsin, and like the rest of the Crunchy Os line it's a small, very crunchy ring at about 2 calories apiece.
What's actually in it
This is a grain-free treat. Chickpeas and peas make up the base, followed by pork and pork liver, then potatoes and pea starch. Cheese and dried egg product come next, and the smoky taste comes from natural hickory smoke flavor. The oils are preserved with mixed tocopherols (a natural source of vitamin E).
Who it suits, and who it doesn't
It suits a healthy dog that does well with pork, dairy and egg, and families who want a small, savory reward for training or everyday praise.
It isn't the right bag for a dog avoiding pork, dairy, egg or legumes. If your dog needs a chicken-free and beef-free treat, this one fits that, as long as pork is fine. If you're unsure, our Personal Pet Consultant is happy to help ... call 732-938-4470.

AAFCO statement
Fromm does not publish an AAFCO nutritional adequacy statement for this treat. Their feeding statement reads: "This product is intended to be fed in moderation as a treat and is not a complete diet. Treats must be counted towards the total daily calories your pet consumes and should be limited to less than 10% of your pet's total daily caloric intake."
Calorie content
3,436 kcal/kg ... 1,562 kcal/lb ... 2 kcal per treat (metabolizable energy, calculated).
Feeding guidelines
Fromm doesn't publish a pieces-per-day chart by weight for this treat, so check the bag for any guide printed there. Their rule of thumb is to count treats toward your dog's daily calories and keep them under 10% of the day's total. At 2 calories a piece, that leaves plenty of room for training, but if you hand out a lot of them, trim your dog's regular meals a little to make up for it. Always keep fresh water out.
Sizes
6 oz and 26 oz bags.
Storage
Reseal the bag after each use and keep it somewhere cool and dry.
