Fromm Turkey, Duck & Sweet Potato Pâté Wet Dog Food
Know Before You Buy
- Animal proteins in this recipe: Turkey, turkey broth, duck, turkey liver, salmon oil.
- Contains: Turkey ... Duck ... Fish (salmon oil) ... Lentils ... Peas ... Potatoes (sweet potatoes, potatoes).
- Does not contain: Chicken, beef, pork, lamb, egg, dairy, grains of any kind, corn, wheat or soy (per the manufacturer's ingredient list).
- Turkey leads, not duck. Turkey and turkey broth come before duck, so this isn't a duck-only or novel protein food. We did confirm there's no chicken on the list.
- Life stage: Fromm's AAFCO statement covers all life stages, including growth of large size dogs (70 lb or more as an adult).
This grain-free pâté pairs two poultry favorites, turkey and duck, with sweet potatoes, lentils and carrots. Fromm Family Foods, a family-owned company based in Mequon, Wisconsin, finely minces the meat and cooks it in turkey broth for a smooth texture that works as a complete meal or a topper.
What's actually in it
Turkey and turkey broth lead, duck is third and turkey liver fourth. Salmon oil, the only other animal ingredient, adds omega fatty acids that Fromm includes to support skin and coat. There's no chicken in any form.
Sweet potatoes, lentils, potatoes, carrots, peas and tomato paste make up the rest, with agar-agar and xanthan gum for texture. It's grain-free, and the vitamins and minerals make it complete and balanced.
Who it suits, and who it doesn't
It suits a dog who needs to avoid chicken and does well on turkey and duck, or one who simply enjoys a richer poultry flavor. The AAFCO statement covers all life stages, including large breed growth.
It isn't the right can for a dog avoiding turkey, duck, fish or legumes such as lentils and peas. If you're unsure, our Personal Pet Consultant is happy to help ... call 732-938-4470.

These are starting points, not prescriptions. Fromm notes that puppies, and dogs that are pregnant or nursing, may need two to four times more food, and spayed or neutered dogs may need up to 25% less. If you serve it alongside kibble, cut back on both so the day's total stays about the same. Check your dog's body condition after two or three weeks... ribs easy to feel under a thin layer, a waist visible from above... and adjust. Always keep fresh water out.
Switching over
Change foods gradually over about a week. Start with roughly a quarter Turkey, Duck & Sweet Potato Pâté mixed into the old food, move to half, then three quarters, then all Turkey, Duck & Sweet Potato Pâté. If you're only adding a spoonful as a topper, a slow start still helps. Going slowly gives your dog's stomach time to adjust.
Sizes, and how long a case lasts
Sold as a 12-can case of 13 oz cans. Using Fromm's chart, a 15 lb dog eating 1 can a day as its only food would go through a case in about 12 days. As a topper over kibble, it lasts much longer.
Storage
Cover and refrigerate any unused portion and use it within a few days. Unopened cans keep best somewhere cool and dry.
