What's actually in it
Pork and pork broth lead the list, and they are the only animal ingredients in the can. Potatoes are the main carbohydrate, with green beans, apples and a little tomato paste. Sunflower oil supplies the added fat, and xanthan gum turns the broth into gravy.
There are no grains, no peas or lentils, no egg and no dairy on the list. It's also one of the lighter Diner recipes at 250 kcal per can.
Who it suits, and who it doesn't
It suits dogs of any age who like shreds in gravy, and it's a useful option for a dog who needs to avoid chicken, beef or fish, since pork is the only animal protein listed. The all life stages statement means a growing puppy can eat it too.

These are starting points, not prescriptions. Fromm notes that puppies, and dogs that are pregnant or nursing, may need two to four times more food, and spayed or neutered dogs may need up to 25% less. If you serve this alongside kibble, cut both back so the day's total stays about the same. Check your dog's body condition after two or three weeks... ribs easy to feel under a thin layer, a waist visible from above... and adjust. Always keep fresh water out.
Switching over
Change foods gradually over about a week. Start with roughly a quarter pulled pork mixed into the old food, move to half, then three quarters, then all pulled pork. Going slowly gives your dog's stomach time to adjust.
Sizes, and how long a case lasts
Sold by the single can or in cases of 12. Fromm's chart has a 20 lb dog eating about 1⅕ cans a day as its only food, so a case lasts that dog about 10 days. Used as a topper, it goes much further. These are close estimates worked out from Fromm's chart.
Storage
Cover and refrigerate any unused portion and use it within a few days. Unopened cans keep best somewhere cool and dry.
