Fromm Crunchy Os Pot Roast Punchers Dog Treats
Know Before You Buy
- A treat, not a meal. Fromm states this product is intended to be fed in moderation as a treat and is not a complete diet.
- Animal proteins in this recipe: Beef, pork liver, dried egg product, pork fat.
- Contains: Beef ... Pork ... Egg ... Grains (whole grain sorghum, oatmeal, pearled barley) ... Potatoes.
- Does not contain: Chicken, fish, dairy, peas, corn, wheat or soy (per the manufacturer's ingredient list).
- Pot roast means beef and pork. Pork liver is the third ingredient, right behind the beef, and pork fat appears later, so this is not a pork-free or single-protein treat. Whole grain sorghum is the first ingredient.
- Life stage: Fromm does not publish an AAFCO life stage statement for this treat. It is labeled as a treat, not a complete diet.
Pot Roast Punchers brings Sunday dinner to the treat jar: beef, oats, potatoes and garden vegetables baked into a small, very crunchy ring. It's from Fromm Family Foods, a family-owned company in Mequon, Wisconsin, and each piece is about 2 calories.
What's actually in it
This is a grain-inclusive treat. Whole grain sorghum leads, followed by beef and pork liver, then oatmeal and pearled barley. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots and celery give it the pot roast character, dried egg product adds protein, and pork fat appears near the end. The fats are preserved with mixed tocopherols (a natural source of vitamin E).
Who it suits, and who it doesn't
It suits a healthy dog that does well with beef, pork, egg and grains, and families who want a hearty, savory reward that's free of chicken and dairy.
It isn't the right bag for a dog avoiding beef, pork, egg or grains. If you're unsure, our Personal Pet Consultant is happy to help ... call 732-938-4470.

AAFCO statement
Fromm does not publish an AAFCO nutritional adequacy statement for this treat. Their feeding statement reads: "This product is intended to be fed in moderation as a treat and is not a complete diet. Treats must be counted towards the total daily calories your pet consumes and should be limited to less than 10% of your pet's total daily caloric intake."
Calorie content
3,541 kcal/kg ... 1,609 kcal/lb ... 2 kcal per treat (metabolizable energy, calculated).
Feeding guidelines
Fromm doesn't publish a pieces-per-day chart by weight for this treat, so check the bag for any guide printed there. Their rule of thumb is to count treats toward your dog's daily calories and keep them under 10% of the day's total. At 2 calories a piece, that leaves plenty of room for training, but if you hand out a lot of them, trim your dog's regular meals a little to make up for it. Always keep fresh water out.

6 oz and 26 oz bags.
Storage
Reseal the bag after each use and keep it somewhere cool and dry.
