Instinct describes it as 100% human grade and designed it to add a flavorful hydration boost to kibble or a freeze-dried meal. It's a short, simple recipe: beef bone broth with a little pumpkin, tapioca, chicory root and ginger.

What's actually in it

Beef bone broth is the first ingredient by a wide margin, and the only animal ingredient. Pumpkin and ginger are ingredients Instinct includes to support healthy digestion, chicory root is a source of fiber, and tapioca gives the broth a little body. Instinct lists collagen at 2.0% minimum. It is mostly water (up to 96% moisture), so it adds very few calories.

Who it suits, and who it doesn't

It suits a dog of any size or age who eats a complete and balanced food and could use more moisture in the bowl, a picky eater who perks up at something savory poured on top, or a dog who doesn't drink much on its own.

It is not a complete meal and isn't meant to replace food.
