Puppy Kindergarten
Puppies don't teach themselves how to be well mannered. Fortunately, The Hungry Puppy can help you get off on the right foot.
For puppies 10 weeks through 6 months of age.
A 4 week course that encompasses all that you need to raise your puppy. Each 1 1/2 hour session, we'll train YOU how to train your new addition. This class is great for people who have never before had a dog or just need a refresher course. Kindergarten is the perfect solution to help make your adjustment with your new family member a pleasant one.
During this 4 week course, puppies are placed into a socially safe environment. Basic level commands are introduced as well as lessons in all aspects of raising a puppy. Lessons include: housebreaking, behavioral problems/situations, proper nutrition, grooming needs and proper prevention of disease and viruses that all puppies are susceptible. The instructor also goes into human/animal socialization and playtime. Space is limited in this class as only 6 in the winter and 12 dogs in the summer are allowed per 4 week course. The spring, summer and fall time classes are held outside, please dress appropriately.
Dogs must have at least 2 series of it's puppy vaccinations before he/she can be registered.
This class is a non-refundable. 2012 class fee is $90.00 + tax.
Your dog will receive a successful completion certificate when you graduate.

Basic Training
For puppies and adult dogs over 6 months of age
An 8 week, 1 hour course that teaches YOU how to teach your dog basic obedience commands. By using positive reinforcement with praise or treats and using your dog's natural instincts, you'll learn how to correctly and effectively train your dog. Some of the commands taught are: sit, down, heel, stay, come, stand, drop it and leave it. Behavioral problems, such as chewing, biting, jumping, barking are also addressed. Distractions and meeting strangers are also all part of the learning process that we encompass into our lessons.
This 8 week class is opened for 12 to 15 dogs.
*Your dog must have a current rabies certificate with an expiration date to be enrolled in Basic Training. A rabies tag may not be sufficient.
Classes are held in the evening during the week and in the morning on Saturdays. Since the class is held outside, please wear appropriate clothing.
This course is $125.00 + tax. It is refundable up to 2 weeks prior to the start of the class.
Remember, an old dog (or any dog) can learn new tricks!

Intermediate Training
For all dogs that have successfully completed the basics of training.
This fun-filled 8 week course expands on the lessons learned in Basic Training. Each 1 hour training class, encourages you to work the skills of basic training while lengthening your "stay time" and refining your heeling techniques. Some dogs can start to work off leash.
Intermediate also teaches you how to cope in all sorts of social situations with you dogs. Working with distractions is an important part of teaching your dog to be a well-mannered companion while in public.
15 dogs are enrolled per class.
*Your dog must have a current rabies certificate with an expiration date to be enrolled in Intermediate Training.
Classes are offered Spring, Summer & Fall. Classes are held outside, please wear appropriate clothing.
Upon graduating, your dog will receive a successful completion certificate.
This course is $140.00 + tax. It is refundable up to 2 weeks prior to the start of the class.

*Alumni class is for dogs that have been through an Intermediate Course with Teresa. This class is 6 weeks.
Private Lessons
1 hour private lessons are with our behavioral specialist. These lessons are great for people who can not make an 8 week program or need to work on particular commands/behavioral problems. Aggression in dogs is one of the aspects of taking advantage of our Private Lessons, so you may learn to obtain control of your dog in a social environment. We can go as fast or as slow as you need. Clients who do these private lessons may only need 1 or a few lessons to achieve the desired results. Many go onto the group class to strengthen the commands.
Private lessons are held at your convenience Tuesday through Sunday. Contact our specialist 800-815-4316 ext. 104 for further details.
In store lesson:
$125 for one lesson
$225 for two lessons = savings of $25.
In home lesson:
$165 for one lesson
$305 for two lessons = savings of $25.
Lessons must be prepaid and used within a 6 month period.

Puppies, up to 6 mos old having a Puppy Kindergarten Completion Certificate from The Hungry Puppy.
Dogs, 6 mos and older having a Basic Dog Training Completion Certificate from The Hungry Puppy.
(If your puppy completed Puppy Kindergarten and is now over 6 months of age, an adult needs to complete a Basic Training Course as well, prior to the child becoming the handler in the CCP Program.)
If it has been a while since your dog has been through a training class please call for a free evaluation with Teresa to see the class that best suits your family's needs.
Children must at all times be accompanied by an adult during the training sessions. Children accompanying their dog to class must be within the age range provided on the itinerary (6, 7 and 8 yr olds at the 2pm session and 9, 10 and 11 yr olds at the 2:45pm session.)
Sunday afternoons from June 3 rd through August 26 th .
Children - 6yrs - 8 yrs old - 2:00 -- 2:30pm sessions
Children - 9-10 -11 yrs old – 2:45 – 3:15pm sessions
Pay as you go - $8. per session per child.
Space is limited. You are encouraged to sign up for as many or few classes as you wish to attend.
You may add on as you go as long if there is space in the class.
Payment is made at the time of sign up.
